Adult Felting Classes & Workshops

Level I Workshops
Wet Felting a flat piece of fabric.

In these workshops students will learn how to make a flat piece of fabric incorporating various design making techniques. Students will have the opportunity to work with several types of fibre to blend for creating texture and natural colour eg. Mohair, angora, wool and llama. We will discuss which types of fibre will felt well and why.

One Day Workshop

Students can complete a small wall hanging or piece of fabric which can then be sewn into clothing.

The cost for a one day workshop is $75.00 plus the cost of the fibre used

Two Day Workshop

Students can complete a large wall hanging, rug or several pieces of fabric or scarves.

The cost for a two day workshop is $ 125.00 plus the cost of fibre used.

Level II Workshop
Wet Felting a molded object

In this workshops students will learn how to make a molded item such as a hat, boots, mittens, or vessel. These finished projects are ready to wear when the class is completed. They do not require any sewing to complete.

The cost of a one day class is $75.00 plus the cost of fibre used. It is possible to do a two day felting course in which students learn to make a flat piece of felt the first day and then make a molded item on the second day.
